Hurst, Texas

Hurst sits at the literal center of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, giving residents some of the shortest average commute times in the region — about 10 minutes to DFW Airport and 15–20 minutes to either downtown. Much of the housing stock is ranch-style, built between 1950 and 1980, with many homes updated over the years on larger, established lots.

Value and a central location make Hurst a strong fit for first-time buyers who want a foothold in the Metroplex without a long commute either way.

An abundance of single-story ranch homes on larger lots, often with fewer HOA restrictions, suits downsizing and aging-in-place transitions well.
